What an adorable sewing basket! It looks so inviting. :-) I know your daughter will love it. We did the simple thing this year too. It was so nice to just relax and enjoy. Thanks for your beautiful blog and the inspiration it provides. I look forward to reading and seeing more in the new year. Merry Christmas!

HAH! I let the beautiful gifts fall by the wayside this year and found it didn't make one whit of difference to our lovely Christmas day. ;)

I have a vintage sewing basket exactly like this one but in blue. It belonged to my grandmother, who was a seamstress many years ago. I love mine, and I bet Ava will love hers too.

Love that sewing stuff! It's good to know that you cut yourself some slack at Christmas. Hope it was wonderful.

My grandma gave me a beautiful sewing basket just before she passed away. So many great memories from our time together. Thanks for sharing

Do you know where your Mom found that sewing kit. I would love one for myself.

that sounds like such a great day. sometimes it is better not to sweat the small stuff. I am glad you were able to enjoy it, and i will be watching for your srticle in romantic home!

Sounds lovely Tanya, might talk DH into seeing that film together too! Happy New Year also..:)

Thanks for the basket pictures! Your posting brought back memories of sewing doll clothes with my grandmother. I also have one of these old sewing baskets. The label says "Harvey" and I've seen similar ones in different colors on ebay.

I really loved the sewing basket...and you know I have the same dishtowel with the bear and "Monday" written on it. My mother made alot of embroadery (sp?) stuff. I have several pillow cases and some of her iron-on templates too! Thanks again for some wonderful pictures!
