Been wanting to tell you about the Quilts and More summer issue featuring "Flirty Skirts". Almost the same as the ruffled skirts but I actually sized them up and down a couple of sizes to fit bigger and littler girls. I love that picture, that little cupcake on her tippy toes, sweetness. I almost forgot about the article it until I came upon this site last night. I love the idea that this girl in Finland might be making some Flirty Skirts for her little one. Also, found this today which I also thought was cool. I don't know, seeing my stuff up on the Coats (parent company to Westminster, which is the parent company to Free Spirit, the company that manufactures my fabric) Spain site just seems exotic. And Sew Simple has an article on my "beach balls" made up in Barefoot Roses. They have a couple of super cute bag patterns in that issue as well. Back to work, finishing up patterns and working on French Hatbox strikeoffs, not easy with 3 kids at home. I can't wait for day camp to start....Happy summer all!!!

I actually have bought both of those magazines! I have three girls who love skirts and have yours in mind - keep up the great work!

Congratulations Tanya! I just love your fabric and patterns. Your ruffled skirts were the inspiration for the "flirty" skirts I created. Take a look. http://frannieandme.blogspot.com/

I love. love, love the Flirty Skirts, Tanya. And such a pretty spread Q&M did (as they always do). I gasped with delight when I saw that you were the designer and that we're sharing pages in the same issue! Like we're paper neighbors. Yup. Can I borrow a cup of sugar?

I made your skirts for my girls months ago (you can see them on my blog)and they wear them weekly, with no prodding from me! It is really a great little pattern and was a treat to pick up Quilts and More and see them there, it must be such fun to be featured like that!

the skirts look great, too bad I have boys and my sewing is not the best, but if I was a grand sewer I would be making these! I think its allot of fun to be in magazines, I have one very easy craft going into BHG for Holiday crafts just to show the people even half sewers like me can make stuff!!

Your flirty skirts are so cute, I am now inspired to learn how to sew. Any recommendations on a sewing machine for beginners? I have looked all over for the quilts and more magazine but cannot find it anywhere -- could you please post the extended size directions.
Thank you !!

I seriously have Quilts and more sitting beside me. It's been open to the flirty skirts since this morning with plans to run to the local quilt shops on Saturday to see if they have Ava Rose-Rose or Ruby.
My little one (2 1/2) is very much into pretties and twirlies.

I love your ruffly skirt pattern! I have made 2 for my daughter and one for my niece (after the pattern was 4th hand emailed to me!) Just found your website with a little research, and will definitely be coming back!
